Hi all, just a quicky, I'm going to be walking a section of the CF but plan on spending a night in Lugo on the way. Does anyone have any suggestions where to stay whilst there?
Hugs n thanks
Andy

We stayed at Hotel Espana in Lugo. Not too expensive and it's located just outside the city walls with views of the nearby entrance right out our window. It was perfect!
P.S. Nice to see you posting again, Andy.🙂
Hope you have a great Camino!

Stay at the municipal pilgrim albergue. It's nice!
Oh, yeah. That's the one where I got in a bit late because of taking Dalie to an out of town stable. Had to eat the food I grabbed in a bar, and ran back with, in the dark because the hospital turned out all the lights and got upset because I didn't want to go to bed having not eaten all day. I expect it's nice, but all I got to see was a corridor by torchlight, and a bed.

I wonder if this is the albergue where there was a male/female shared showering facility that had been mentioned a few years ago with only a shower curtain (or similar) separating the stalls. Does anyone know if this muni is the one spoken of in Lugo?

Well, I thought it was nice. I was not traveling with a donkey, and I didn't notice any bad people in the showers. It is conveniently located right inside the city wall, near to everything but quiet at night. Good, competant hospitaleros who have walked the Way themselves. No complaints here.

I'm sure you are right , Reb. I'd walked over 40k that day and had been looking for a place to camp since 15:00 hours. Only place I've been refused a corner of a field and a bucket of water. Plus being lied to about there being a garden at the Albergue by a farmer who obviously just wanted me gone. I could have used a friendly word from the hospi. Or anyone, really. Not my absolute best Camino experience. The people who actually helped me were the Gardia. They found the stables and escorted me and Dalie another 5k then took me to the Albergue. (And gave me a croissant and a bottle of water) Which left me with about two minutes before a curfew that was obviously going to be enforced. Hence eating in a corridor by torchlight.
