Albergues open season

Hi all,

I’m walking the Frances starting May 3. I thought I might book the first few albergue nights in advance and then just book as I go from there. I’m seeing that a majority of the albergues are listed as “closed until the start of the season”. When do these typically start to open? Right now the choices are really limited.

Many albergues reopen around Easter. Gronze will have details of the opening dates for the albergues they list.

No worries: All albergues are open when you start in May.

Even if they are closed, most of them will take advance booking during the winter. Send them an email, and be patient. They will get back to you.
