Hi, all. I was having trouble getting the Alertcops app to open on my phone. I am currently in Spain and using a Spanish phone number, so that's not the problem. I deleted it and reinstalled it, and the app description said this new version (released a week ago) has fixed some bugs. So if you had been having trouble with it, maybe try again? Especially because most of the peninsula is on high fire alert, it might be really important to get notices and be able to notify authorities of things easily.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Thanks. To my great pleasure, I was able to activate the app, which is a first!
I've been trying to activate it on my phone, and have been unable to receive the activation code. I had the app on a previous phone and was able to activate it, but can't on my new phone.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

If it's been more than a week or so, I'd try again.

I checked the updated version of AlertCops right now. Nothing has changed about the initialisation process: They still send a code per sms/text to your mobile phone number and the sender is not a recognisable Spanish mobile phone number but a Short Number. At least in my case.

I believe - but I am not 100% certain as I lack the technical knowledge about rates / who pays what for international mobile communication under these specific conditions / may depend on your contract with your provider - that this is the reason why some people outside of Europe and its roaming etc arrangements cannot initiate AlertCops while they are not yet in Spain.

I had this issue too last year because I decided to keep my home phone number and not the Spanish phone number that Vodafone gave me. I went back to Vodafone and they fixed the problem and then I was able to get the Alert Cops activation code.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Thanks so much for this info! I always got a notice that alert cops was not working, but now I downloaded it and it works with my US +1 phone number!

I have ACops on my Android, no problems, but a friend is having problems finding it for her iPhone on App Store - I am sure it must exist for iPhone - any advice ? She leaves for the Portuguese soon and would like to have the App.
Thanks
