Camino Frances (2017)
Hello, just signed up to the forum and will be starting my first Camino in May. I will be flying in to Biarritz around 10am on Sunday 7 May, and wondered if anyone was interested in sharing transport to SJPdP?

If you are in a great hurry to reach St Jean then I hope you find some people to share a taxi with you. That is very likely at that time of year. If you are not in such a huge rush you would have plenty of time to take a bus to the railway station for a little stroll around Bayonne (a pleasant town) and lunch before the 14:55 train (or replacement bus) and still reach St Jean by 15:54.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Chronoplus bus #14 from Biarritz/Anglet Airport to Gare Bayonne.

SNCF TER Aquitaine train from Gare Bayonne to SJPdP.

I did this in January and had a wonderful lunch in Bayonne.

Hi Martin Mills,
On that day I am coming to Biaritz too, but my arriving time is 15:05 by AF from Orly. It is pity not to share the taxi.
Hearing there is no bus/train upto SJPDP, on Sunday, I hurriedly booked a taxi accepting to be ready to bear all the fare if nobody shared the seats.

I do not know where you got this information from but I think it is false. According to the SNCF website there are two trains from Bayonne to St Jean on Sunday 7 May: 07:45 and 14:55. In the quite frequent case that the train service is cancelled for engineering works then a replacement bus service leaves Bayonne station at the same times and for the same fare.

Hi Bradypus,
Thank you for your information. Anyway I come to Biaritz 15:05 and can not catch even the second train of 14:55.
I understood there were some more trains or buses on weekdays.

Its too early to rely on SNCF schedule for 7 May. TER schedules usually are not finalized (even if they almost never change) more than 30 days in advance.

There are 3 or 4 trains daily from Bayonne to SJPdP all year. Sundays its 3 with the last leaving at 2110.
