Art on the Camino

I recently walked the camino. On day two of my walk my camera jammed. Surrendering to this I decided to paint instead. After an initial scenic painting I found myself trying to paint my thoughts and feelings as I walked. As a result I have 35 water colours in my journal. Not the worlds greatest art but they invoke memories much better than views. While walking I met Gisela a Swedish lady who was painting mandellas. She inspired me, and I can't wait to see her work when she finishes her camino. Has anyone else been painting as they walk?

I sketched a little last year and will probably aim to do the same again this year. It was relatively time consuming and often felt quite frustrating but, looking back, I'm glad I did it.
