Hi I`m hopefully going to start my camino on the 19th Sept(Covid permitting) .Plane booked and first couple of nights accommodation tentatively booked too. Fly into Biarritz from the UK then start in SJDP. Been wanting to do this for years and now find myself newly retired so no excuse not to get on with it
Best of Luck, Dave. I hope to be on the Camino around the same time (if conditions allow). I walked my first (CF) just after I retired a couple years ago and I cant wait to return. Have a Buen Camino y Ultreia !!!!

Wow! I'm planning on going late Spring of 2022 to do another section of the CF. I was really waffling over actually walking through the maseta or skipping it altogether until I saw another post on this blog that came complete with pictures, humour, suggestions, etc. all about the maseta. Thank you Ivar and all the people that contribute to this blog. I really appreciate your efforts and sharing. I've already done - SJPD to Pamplona and on to Logrono, then a diversion to Santander after watching the miniseries on TV The Gran Hotel (Spanish)! I just had to go see the hotel. Returned to Sarria and walked to SDC with a broken toe at Portomarin. Not smart - bag too heavy. Second trip in 2019 I took a friend to Ponferrada and hoofed it to SDC. Having skipped the middle section, I need to return. Hoping COVID issues drop continuously now to 2022. This excited canuck now making route plans, excercising the plantar fascitis out of left foot, and waiting for school to end so I can make more progress with Duolingo! Bien Camino all!
