Bonjour, fellow pilgrims. I leave in the morning, starting for France. Worries and niggling what-ifs have fallen away and I'm rather floating on air.
I was fortunate enough to have an audience with the Dalai Lama this morning, to get his blessing on my wee peace pilgrimage.
He said thank you, I said thank you and he told me to go slowly. That was a reference to my age! His first comment on seeing me was "How old ARE you?"
"70 next week"
"Well don't go too fast. Your mind can be speedy but take it easy on your body"
