Dear fellow-pilgrims,

I will probably walk the Camino Portugues from Porto to Santiago in August. Last year I walked part of the Frances and I know the average prices there.

How about the prices on the Portugues for food and a bed...similar to the prices on the Frances or more expensive ?

Many thanks for your replies !

Warm regards,
Saskia.

Saskia. If you do like us ,we like to stay in hostals, it costs you about 55 € a day included a menu do dia ,some coffees etc.
If you stay in albergues (we do not like them) you will be cheaper per day

Bom caminho

From Porto, I would say prices are about the same as on the French route. South of Porto, there are few albergues so the alternatives are more expensive (usually 35-40€ per night for a private double. .

We are thinking of walking the Camino Portugese also. People, who have walked it, are telling us to budget 50 euros per day for a couple and say it is not much cheaper for one person..

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
