That would consume my week's lodging budget!!More expensive but well worth it in Tui Took a rest day here
Hi @Happypilgrimgirl and welcome here. Well I guess that yesterday, when you wrote this, you were less happy...( sorry for the bad pun).
Like others already wrote here : it is end of season so I can imagine some hospitaleros are more than weary and tired. If I saw the amount of people last week arriving in Santiago I can only imagine how busy it must be on the second most " popular " Camino , the Portugues.
The fact that the hospi tried to clean the mess certainly proves she cares. But sometimes there is only so much one can do before another pilgrim makes a mess again....
You did not encounter bedbugs ? Check.
The hospitalera tried to clean up ? Check.
You survived to tell the story? Check
Please try to concentrate on the beautiful nature around you and the meaningful meetings on this Camino.
All the best and do come back to report how the rest of your pilgrimage went.

That's the spirit!!!Thank You all very much! I really should be more patient))) Today we stay in lovely albergue in Arcade (Lameirinas). So comfortable beds and big kitchen! Everything is for pilgrims. Buen Camino!!)
Now, @Icacos, let's not be toooo demanding. Pilgrims thank, after all . . .
... We’ve been having a spell of very dreary weather.
Cheers, everyone!
So it's like visiting a zoo?You tell me ;-) raining cats and dogs and everything else here in Santiago ;-)

Me too, but if I heard the water was cold I'd probably skip the shower that day...I've done that a few times for various reasons, but never have walked in the heat of summer where I'd be thankful for even a cold shower!Yes, that’s what I was saying ... I would have been very grateful for the hot water!
