The Brownsville Museum of Fine Arts will host a photo travelogue lecture on the Pilgrim route across Northern Spain.
On the Feast of Saint James, July 25th, Marcia Selsor, a Fulbright Scholar to Spain in 1985-86 followed the Pilgrim route and documented the art created along the way. The lecture will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 25 at the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, 660 East Ringgold.

For more information, call (956) 542-0941 or email selsor@Brownsvillemfa.org.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hey, that's in my neck of the woods! I grew up about 60 miles from Brownsville & now live a bit further upstream along the Rio Grande.

Interesting note for Sil: There is a (regretably) small group attempting to establish a biking/horseback riding trail along the route taken by the Spanish (later Mexican) priests travelling from mission to mission along the Rio Grande. The intial "run" was about a year ago. Unfortunately, it gets too hot for walkers to walk the route.
