Hi
I am planning on returning to camino on sun 13th or 20th Sept flighting to Bilbao and need to get a bus to Naverette- back to our finish /starting point. Had a look on the timetables and there seems to be buses to Logrono that stop at Naverette- I think? But I cannot work out if they run on sunday and if there is a special sunday timetable. Be great if anyone can assist.
Thanks
John

Hi sorry to be a pain but I am unclear from looking at these links if there are buses to logrono on the sunday 13 sept.
Can any one help
Thanks

Bilbao is the largest city in the Basque Country and Navarrete is just a small town (village) in La Rioja, which capital is Logroño. Probably there are no buses Bilbao - Navarrete on sundays but surely you can get one to Logroño and then, another, to Navarrete.

There are four buses on Sunday from Bilbao to Logrono:

There are six Sunday buses leaving from the Hospital stop in Logrono for Navarette. You will have to make your own connections.

Hi, did you get anywhere with your quest, I have just started to look up how to get to Logrono, I arrive on Sunday, this Sunday! And had not realised it is so far from Bilbao..... Hmmm never done the Camino, nor been to Spain, and feeling rather intimidated at the very first hurdle..... If you have found out anything helpful that would be very appreciated. Thanks, Maia

Bus and train links are good. Bus leaves from Termibus. Train leaves from Abando Indalecio Preito. There is airport bus from the airport to Termibus and there is Metro from San Mames (Termibus) to train station.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Hi, thank you, I fly in about 4.45pm and was thinking perhaps it is just too late? What do you think? I really wanted to start my walk the next day from Logrono, but perhaps I should spend the night in Bilbao and then head over in the morning? I have never done anything like this before so am proabably more stressy than I ought to be.... hmmm...

I can't make these decisions for you. All that can be done is give you information on which to base your decisions.

Sometimes it helps to look at the details. Here is Bilbao Airport, Termibus, and Bizkaia bus the airport bus provider.

Use the airport site to figure out where to catch the airport bus and to determine when it runs.

Use the Termibus information about the schedule for the bus to Logrono. You might want to reserve a room near the bus station in Logrono because you will be arriving late in the evening.

Time appreciation ~ using Termibus information for airport bus and Logrono bus.
Arrive 1645
Deplane, customs, baggage ~ 1745
bus to Termibus leaves every 20 minutes s0 leave airport 1800
Arrive Termibus 1830
Bus to Logrono 1900
Arrive Logrono 2045

Plan B - (if your plane arrives late)
Bus to Logrono 2100
Arrive 2235
