Buying tickets online for Alsa

I want to buy a bus ticket from Pamplona to Irun. The Alsa website is simple to use. It shows you schedule and then takes you to movelia to pay. BUT... when I got to the point where I was supposed to put in my credit card number, I saw that the site is not secure.

What kind of a risk do people take when they put their credit card numbers into a non-secure website? This may be a dumb question, and I am assuming I shouldn't do it, but I wonder how they get by with a non-secure website. Of course I may be missing something obvious. Thanks, Laurie

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Laurie, I just conducted an experiment on my desktop browser. I typed in "movelia" in the address line and it brought me to the secure version of the site (with the "https" preface.) I then removed the "s" and the browser was happy to keep me at the http version of the site instead of returning me to the https version as I expected. Alsa may be directing you with a http link and movelia is not bothering to convert to being secure. Try inserting the "s" into your browser and see what happens.

Sorry, but I can't figure out how to do that. Here is what my screen shows, and I don't know where I would put an "s". Sorry to be dense.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Sorry Laurie, my reply may be too late for you.

My browser shows the protocol used to connect to a system. That is to say if I wanted to connect to www.example.com in the non-secure way the address shows http://www.example.com in the browser's address window. For a secure connection it would be https://www.example.com with the "s" added to the "http". Your browser is not showing the "http://" that I thought it would be. So, to try to get to the secure version of movelia, you could somehow attempt to add "https://" (with the "s" and without the quotes) in front of "www.movelia.es" in the address bar.
