Camino del Norte
Hello! I am wondering if anybody knows if public transport will be running at full capacity during Semana Santa? I want to travel to Seville, then to Irun to start my camino on Easter (April 5) but feel this may be a bad idea because it's an important holiday in a Catholic country. If it is, I'll simply stay in Seville for Easter, travel the following Monday and begin my Camino on April 7th from Irun.

Also, in terms of planning, I have a map of northern Spain and a list of albergues. Otherwise, I just plan to show up and walk. I speak Spanish so I figure I'll be able to speak with locals if I get lost or become desperate for a place to stay. Is more planning than this really necessary?

Semana Santa should be the equivalent of 'Sunday Time Table', so look out for connections labelled 'domingo y festivos'. If you have never experienced Semana Santa in Spain before, I think it is really worth staying in Seville for that. Map of Northern Spain for overview and getting a feeling where you are plus accommodation list is fine, speaking Spanish - Great!, no, no more planning is necessary, but remember the lighter your backpack is the more you will enjoy the walk. Just follow the yellow arrows and Buen Camino! SY

SY, I start the del Norte in late April (first camino). I have been researching many resources on this camino, and I notice that there is a bit of difference between the various websites when they plot the path. Is there a reference for a plotted path that uses waymarkers only?
