Daughter currently on Camino Norte
My daughter currently, February 26, 2024, is just outside of Zumaia. She is having difficulty locating albergues that are open. Is there a list or app that has current information on albergues that are open and available to her? Thank you.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
https://www.gronze.com/camino-norte is usually pretty reliable on opening and closing dates. There are also contact details for all the available accommodations. At this time of year its worth checking ahead by a day or two.

Gronze shows the Albergue Santa Klara in Zumaia as "open all year" but they may, of course be closed for a rest. Contact details here: www.agroturismosantaklara.com

Gronze is in Spanish but very simple, repetitive Spanish. Most Browsers will translate to English but auto translate does some interesting things to place-names

As an amigo on this forum would say: hope this helps

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I met a hospitalero doing a camino de Santiago. His Albergue always closed for the winter but accommodates pilgrims off season providing they give notice - if he's not there his business partner or brother can arrange checkin.

He said recently he's been getting calls from people saying "I'm outside but the door's locked". More people are doing the camino "off season" and maybe as a result of their experiences on the Frances expect places to be open.

So the advice... Phone ahead, book ahead - especially at weekends. Some private albergues admit non-pilgrims so if you're not careful workers and holiday-makers can take the spot.

Also if the owner is not expecting anyone they might not even be available for last minute drop-ins.
Municipals at weekends might have alternative arrangements and i came across a couple that the arrangement was to call before 3pm on Friday if you want to stay Saturday or Sunday.

Thank You. This is very helpful.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Here's an additional option--I've heard back from a number of albergues and other accommodations at this point, so it's reasonably well updated for 2024. Open dates in Column J:
