Time of past OR future Camino
Done....Frances, Norte ,Primitivo, Finisterre
Future ...via de la plata
Less than two weeks to go until I start my second Camino. This time its the Norte last year was the Frances. Fly out on 27th May to start on 28th from Irun. Ive weighed and packed, unpacked, re weighed , swapped items for lighter ones and repacked again. Got my euros , train and flight tickets . Phew! Just got to unpack, spay my pack with bug repellant and repack hopefully one last time (although probably not). Got the usual nagging doubts like am I right taking hiking shoes instead of boots and will I be warm enough with a bag liner instead of a sleeping bag but one thing im sure of is that I will be ok one way or another. Im so full of nervous excitement I think I might burst! Ive got the forum badge sewn on my backpack so if anyone from here is on the Norte May/June time please say hello. X

I understand how you feel Trish, I leave Australia in16 hours to fly to Barcelona and then to Irun to start the Norte from Irun on Tuesday . So excited but can't get my pack under10 kls !!! I feel I need my sleeping bag as I am old :) May need to have my pack transported on that first day. Something I have never done in 6 caminos....
Probably won't meet up as we will be a week ahead but will walk slowly.
Buen Camino

My pack weighs 5k at the moment but it will probably be about 7 _7.5 when all the last minute things are in there. Really don't want to go over 7.5 if i can help it will.
