Camino in 18 days starting April 3

Just a quick question. I see many people do stages for a few weeks, then come back and do the other stages when they have time. I am planning to begin at SJPP on April 3 and go to Santiago by the 2oth. (It's all the free time I have.) I will do this by taking a train from Logrono to Astorga and maybe a bus to Paplona from Roncenvilles too. My question is - does this affect whether I receive the compostella at the end? I know one can do as little as 100 KM but my question is - must you complete ll the stages from where you begin?

Also if anyone wants to hike over the mountain from SJPP with me on the third drop a line.

For a Compostela you only need to walk THE LAST 100km into Santiago on any camino route. You must walk it all, but it does not need to be continuous. That is, you could walk 20km, return the next year, start where you left off, and repeat until you reach the cathedral. If you do that, you need a sello when you re-start each time as well as a sello when you stop for the day. Two sellos per day are required in the last 100km. You can get them at bars, hotels, albergues, tourist offices, ayuntamientos, and churches.

Buen camino.
