Camino in July

Hi,

I'm planning to start my Camino from SJPDP in early July. I've realised I will be around Pamplona during San Fermin. I'd love to hear from someone who has done the same thing. I was really looking forward seeing Pamplona and don't really want to have to miss it. Is it every day during San Fermin that it's busy? Are all the albergues actually closed or is it just a case of having to get there early before they book out.?

I was there in 2014 during San Fermin and the albergue was open. Pamplona was insane-packed with people! They even broadcast the festivities/bull runnings everyday on TV in other parts of the country.

Hey Kevin, thanks for your reply.

So did you have trouble getting a bed at the albergue? Do you know if it was more expensive than usual? Would you recommend it?
