Time of past OR future Camino
September 2012 - October 2012
I would like to thank every pilgrim for their love, support, and most importantly the generosity. My 35 days of walking from St. Jean to Santiago to Fisterra and Muxia was everything I hoped for.

Thank you St. James for helping me understand the need to spend time in nature, fellowship, and prayer.

May my camino never end and the journeys always be present.

My email is rayatctommy@yahoo.com and I would enjoy you to check out my music site at http://www.reverbnation.com. Look up Tommy L. Ray from Palm Harbor, FL.

May all be blessed with safety, love, and generosity.

The Spirit of the Camino calls to those it chooses. We hear the call and some leave immediately to begin their pilgrimage. Others hear and plan fastidiously to begin their Camino in the coming year. Still others hear the call and plan, but it takes time until the day arrives. Regardless of when we respond to the haunting call of St. James the Camino waits for us. Each step of each pilgrim serves as the steady strumming of heart strings that embrace each pilgrim and still calls to others to join the Way.

Thank you for thinking of others. Once having chosen to go on Camino your pilgrimage began and it never stops. This life is a pilgrimage for we are but strangers here. Our Master calls and we must answer. May each step you take into the future bring you closer to He who knocks constantly on our heart's door for entry. May his Peace envelope you and sustain you through both the good times and the times when the way is too lonely, too hard, and weights heavily on our narrow shoulders.

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
Arrived in Santiago on October 30th, attended Pilgrim's Mass on All Saints Day as I had planned.
Am just now home safe and sound to the East Coast U.S. where all loved ones are safe and sound after
the big storm. We are blessed.

St. James, you called and we came, and you helped us every step of the Way, and your loving guidance will always be with us.

Michael, thank you for your beautiful post here; it is most eloquent.

Now is the time to start planning on doing the Le Puy part, totally diferent experience. Or do it all again. I did it twice. It took me one year to start having that itch to do it again and I would do it again if I am able to, but one must work...

Round the corner and up the hill from the Pilgrims Office in Santiago, about 50m away, is the Faculty of Medicine's huge cafeteria that must be able to seat between 200 and 300 people. They have a...
Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
A few km before Portomaran, a huge swarm of wasps swooped down on a pilgrim. Thankfully, he wasn’t stung. He said it looked like a flock of sparrows that swooped down and he thought they were...
In 2018, I completed my first Camino de Santiago. Those 34 days were magical, filled with stunning landscapes and connections with fellow pilgrims from around the world. What was meant to be a...
Well sorry for the long absence! I dropped offline and into Camino life and can't wait to go back (but unfortunately it won't be soon)! I won't say the Camino was an easy experience for me, or...
For my fellow Jewish Pilgrims do try to remember that this coming Tuesday evening is our Shavuot holiday, not one but two days. Shavuot is one of the required Jewish pilgrimages, totally...
