ok, so i have read alot of posts about boots, and know there are some varied opinions... but all the talk is about hiking boots and runners. i was wondering f anyone has experience hiking in doc martens? basically, i can't aford a second pair of shoes. but i dont want the whole walk to fail because of shoe problems. i wore them recently to hike in croatia (although only a few hours) and got blisters, but i didn't know about any of these taping and vaseline tricks then yet.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
You need something that you KNOW you can wear while walking 20-20 km while carrying your pack. Don't wait until the last minute to find them or you will pay dearly for your mistake. The cost of good footwear is small compared to the total cost of the trip, especially if you have to stop due to blisters.
