For those who are not familiar with this big thing in Spain here are some links to the annual Lottery event.
Lots of winners from Galicia and Santiago this year.

It is live broadcasted for hours on Spanish TV and I just viewed the last 30 minutes.

The children who participate in this event are always from the San Ildefonso school in Madrid.
The way they sing / call every number is quite impressive.

The owner of a lottery shop in Cudillero said on TV that most of the second prize in his shop was sold to visitors. Maybe one of them was a pilgrim doing the Norte.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Last year I wanted to buy a lottery ticket, but I waited too long. When I finished the Via Serrana in Seville, it was the last day before the lottery and the queues in front of the sales offices were huge. That's why this year, when I walked the Camino del Estrecho and the Camino de Fray Leopoldo in December, I bought a total of five "decimos" with different end numbers in small towns along the way. Unfortunately in the end it was in vain, I didn't win anything. But it still brought me joy.

Money stolen from bag on bed while sleeping. Estelle municipal hostel. Not a big inconvenience as my passport and credit cards were left.
