Fatima 13 October Warning re accommodation

santaremhostel

Active Member
Hello everyone.
I regret the information at the last minute.
Fortunately the Caminho is back, September was a relatively good month and October looks promising, particularly on the 8th to the 10th of October, due to the celebration of Fatima on the 13th of October. However, the availability of accommodation is very limited. So, as with my pre-pandemic warnings due Fátima celebrations, secure a reservation prior to Your arrival. Our capacity is sold out, so check the contacts in your book or app about the Caminho and book where possible. If not possible, reprogram your plan. Bom Caminho

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi, Mario! So good to hear from you, and thank you for keeping the forum in mind, even when you‘re overwhelmed with Fátima pilgrims.

For those who don’t know, Mario of Santarem Hostel is one of those Caminho angels who has been promoting the caminho and helping pilgrims for years now, way before there was more than a handful of pilgrims walking from Lisbon.

If you are walking outside of the Fátima days, a stop in Santarém at Mario’s place is a real treat.

Bom caminho, Laurie

Hi Laurie.
Thank you for your kind message. In fact, it was an adventure in 2013 promoting the Portuguese way from Lisbon. Many achievements have been made, but there is still a lot of work to be done. I thought you were coming to Portugal last April 2021. Probably Covid19 changed your plans when do you plan to come to Portugal?
