...today I braved the rain and hitched a ride 4 kms down the hill to an old town by Le Lot River where on Fridays, no matter what the weather folks from all over the region converge selling baubles, curios, traditional foods & whatever else in the alleys and doorways about the church. After carolling chansons de Noël on a plastic, rather sweet flûte-a-bec for the local brocanteuér and clientèles du salon de thé, laden with festive vienoiseries, honey drenched greek & morocan treats I slogged my way all the way back up the hill to a friend's place in the woods where, in the cosy warmth of a fire and flickering christmas lights we chatted and indulged...Season's Greetings pèlerins- Goodwill to all!
