First Ever Twittering Pilgrim? (March/April 2009)

Hi everyone,

I shall be doing the Camino Frances straight after Las Fallas (20 March), starting in SJPP. Will anyone else be doing it at the same time?

I'm also Twittering my experience too. I know, it's controversial - I expect hordes of Luddites to tell me that's not the point of the Camino, but it's partially (but not entirely) for work anyway, so please excuse me!

Follow me at @gospain if you're on Twitter and we can plan together!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I don´t know if I´m a Luddite, but what exactly is 'twittering' please :?:

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Sandra, I had to askthe same question! Look here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter

It is another generation of instant communication where "Twitters" can communicate with people in their network (everyone "following" them) through sending messages no more than 140 characters long - like text langauage. Messages can be posted through an internet connection or texted by mobile telephone.

Twittering is based on answering " What I am doing right now" so it encourage a constant stream of communication between people.

May be not for some of us but live and let live.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
well I am a luddite - after a few thousand "putting one foot in front of the other" twitters hopefully even the followers will get bored

I'm obviously a luddite, I read the wikipedia (can't these people spell-shouldn't that be Wikipaedia!) but are these messages sent by computer-if so whats the difference between twittering and emails?

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks for your reply, Johnny Walker, I´m glad I´m not the only one who didn´t know what it meant.
