Hello together,
I am planing on walking the Camino Portugues in about two weeks.
For now I heard about many forest fires. Did somebody walk this Camino recently or lives there to tell if it is possible walking it?
Thank you very much for your help!
Daniela

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I would suggest downloading an app called Fogos.pt. This will give you nearly-real time status updates on all fires occurring in Portugal. Right now, for example, I can see there's one in the Braga area, in northern Portugal. My sense is that the dangers have lessened in the last few weeks but this app can provide you a good way to monitor the situation. Thank you and helpful! Is there an equivalent app for Spanish forest fires?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

In Spanish, but here's the Spanish government daily bulletins:

Nothing that I'm aware of, as useful as the Portuguese site.

Good luck and bon camino! Unless there's another extreme heatwave, you shouldn't have to worry too much in Galicia.
