Getting from Sobrado os Monxes back to Lugo

I'm going to be walking the Norte this year and will spend the night in Sobrado dos Monxes. But at that point I am hoping to be able to "backtrack" to Lugo to walk the green arrow option to Sobrado through Friol.

Does anyone have any information about how I might get from Sobrado to Lugo? The only buses I find from Sobrado go to Santiago or A Coruña. Thanks, Laurie

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi Laurie,

I did this last summer, and I had to take a bus from Sobrado to Arzua (the bus which goes to Santiago, leaving Sobrado at 7:15am) , and then from Arzua to Lugo. It's a bit of a pain, but I couldn't find a more direct route. Good luck!

Empresa Freire - 0715 Sobrado to Arca (de Pedrouzo) then Arca to Lugo.

Arriva bus - 0715 - 0800 to Batanzos then 0810 Batanzos to Lugo daily. 1305 saturday with Batanzos departure at 1640.

See Arriva schedule line 22.

Hi Laurie, another option is to take a train from Teixeiro (11kms from Sobrado) to Lugo. The Renfe site shows 3 trains/day, at 7.39. 10.19 & 20.45. The 10.19 train takes 37 minutes; the others take a little longer.

There's an Arriva bus connection between Sobrado and Teixero. From what I can see, there are 2 buses a day on weekdays - at 7.05 & 18.15. The 7.05am bus arrives at 7.20, which seems perfect for the 7.39am train and breakfast in Lugo :)

Hope this helps!

Hi, has anyone walked the Primitivo in mid-October? What was it like? Weather, tracks and accommodation? I plan to walk from Oviedo to Lugo only, then bus to Santiago after. Thanks for your input.
