Any recommendations for GPX tracks for the Norte? Are there any that include both the official route PLUS the alternatives? One file for the entire Norte rather than individual stages? Also, what is your favorite offline map app to use when hiking? I've used OsmAnd and have liked it, but would love to hear what you used. Thanks! Oh, Starting in Irun on May 14th.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Hi gvmelissa,

OsmAnd is a well known app with many satisfied users. But for me also a little complicated to use. I use maps.me and am very satisfied about that. All maps (OSM) are for free.
There is a GPX file with both the alternative route of the Norte and the alternatives, without being cut in stages. You can download it in one file together with all the other camino's in Spain, see also the resource section of the forum.
The link to this resource is:
https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...racks-of-all-spanish-caminos-in-one-file.341/
You can see these tracks also directly at
https://www.santiago.nl/jacobswegen-wandelaars-europa?goto=Frankrijk&minzoom=4
You can move this map and zoom into it.

Buen camino!

Wise Pilgrim El Norte Guide plus App. I just returned from El Norte 3 weeks ago and can confirm that lots of options from the OFFICIAL blue mapped route, red coastal variants plus I followed GR hiking footpaths near but not Camino per se using the live app. Never got lost.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I found that Wise Pilgrim sometimes crash and close itself.

I have just published a new offline map app for the Norte, still under rapid development but stable on iOS and Android. It is part of a larger re-write of the original app. Search for Wisely Norte on the app store. (also available for the Francés, Portugues, Primitivo, Invierno, and Salvador with a few more on the way).

Thanks @wisepilgrim ! Looks good! Will the original Norte app no longer get updates?
Also, does the new Norte offline maps show where water fountains may be?
I am trying to figure out whether to go with the new offline app, or stay with the original.

The original app will absolutely be updated! The new app is actually part of the rewrite of the original app... but since I knew it would take much longer I released the mini app earlier so everyone could benefit. It is free when bundled with the original app for iOS users.

This sounds great!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
