Greetings, party people.

Kasutera

It's spongy and delicious.
Time of past OR future Camino
Caminho portugues (maio - junho de 2015)
Long-time lurker, first-time poster.

I'm planning my first ever Camino--I'll be walking the Caminho portugues starting from Porto at the end of May.

Tickets to and from Europe already booked.

Gear set aside.

Walking more regularly now.

Now I'm just looking over the particulars. The coastal route looks mighty appealing.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Kasutera,
Welcome to the Forum and the Class of 2015.
The Caminho Portuguese is a mixed bag. Many km through built up areas and many stretches of unparalleled beauty.
The coastal route is getting more popular each year. Consider moving crossways so you can stop in at Casa Fernanda. You will not be disappointed. If you tell them Arn recommended their hostel ... I am sure they will double the price of your stay.
Bom Caminho,
Arn

Thanks for the recommendation. Has anyone ever alternated between the coastal and the inland routes from stage to stage? I'm considering it--though I know that it may add considerable time to the journey.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

First, I tried to sing:eek:
Second, I tried to dance:confused:

I can totally relate. I can't dance and won't even try. I love to sing and I sing poorly; but still I sing loudly which encourages others to join in if just to drown me out. This increases participation!

Second, I tried to dance:confused:

I can relate. I know I'm heading for trouble when my wife drops her head into her hands and says "Oh no, he's starting to sing." It's usually after I've had far too much to drink.

Kasutera, if you find yourself in Vilarhino, don't stay anywhere else but Casa de Laura. You'll be glad you did. Don't mention my name, it's one of the places that I've sung before.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Welcome Kasutera, have a great Camino. My wife and I will be on that route in the camper at the end of May/early June, we may meet you.
Bom Caminho.

Thanks, Wayfarer! Are you starting in Porto or are you going whole hog and starting in Lisbon?

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll be discreet. ;)
