I'm planning to walk the Camino this month (May). What is the heaviest layer that I should bring? I have a long-sleeved, thin Merino top but so far, nothing heavier.
I walked the Camino in October. Had a technical (waterproof, windproof, breathable) shell and a single insulating layer (nano-puff synthetic sweater). I never had to put the insulating layer on. I found the shell provided enough insulation against wind/cold.Hi all,

.... but the long range monthly forecast, after next week, is for much cooler weather moving in, and wet.The weather in May can be changeable, but it seems temps in Pamplona, Burgos and Leon are set to hit 25-30 degrees celsius next week )
