Hi ,I am planning to walk the Camino Frances starting in May fro stjpp. I am planing to skip the area around Leon. My daughters are going to meet me in Serria and will walk with me to Santiago. I am really looking forward to this walk, I did a lot of hiking and backpacking out west and around Western Carolina , mainly the Appalachian Trail and the Mountain to Sea Trail but this walk on the Camino will be totally different. See you on the Trail. Joe

I am going in the fall Sept-Oct. I am on the other end of the state, Kill Devil Hills. I can't wait to see what the other side of the Atlantic looks like.

Buen Camino from a fellow South Eastern pilgrim - I am in Atlanta. I walked solo years ago and will walk again this year with my wife and 2 year old...what an adventure!

Hi Joe. Couldn't help notice a fellow Ashevillian on the forum!! I'm planning on going in May as well but I'm really liking the path from Madrid, even though it is far less traveled. Hoping to gain some insights from this forum. Apparently there's some really good "pilgrim" support here in town. I'm actually going tonight to a meeting at REI to meet with some folks who have walked el camino.

Good luck to you my friend and I hope you have a Great Journey!

-Andy
