Thank you, everyone, for this forum. Your advice and encouragement has given us the motivation to build up our fitness levels over the next year so we can walk the entire CF in April/May/June 2025. Until then, Buen Camino!

I agree! We retired a few years ago and have been going on daily walks of 2-3 miles at least every other day. We also mix in cycling and rowing (on Concept rower).

Being near 70 years old, we need to slowly ramp up. Last week, we did a 10-mile hike and had no recovery issues other than some minor foot swelling and muscle soreness. We plan on doing a 5-10 mile walk/hike once a week, and this summer we will add packs and gear.

Hopefully, this fitness plan will work for our April/May 2025 Camino!
