hopefully my last SIM question

Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
Say I get a SIM card (probably Vodafone because reports tend to indicate it has the best coverage)....probably the monthly deal for 11E which gives me 1GB internet....I do not intend to use it for phoning, just for accessing data (my googledocs, maps, eroski accommodation details, maybe even Wikipedia articles on the places we'll be walking....and uploading photos and blog posts which will be done on the phone....and some messaging back to NZ and India probably via Viber)......IF I use up the 1GB before the 30 days is up, can I start a new set of 30 days immediately?
Obviously I'll use wifi where it is available, but if I do something silly like forget to turn the data off while I'm walking and I go through the prepago allowance, I'd like to know what I can do!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I don't know about renewing the SIM card, but I do know that you are going to be pleasantly surprised by the amount of WiFi on the Camino. Virtually every bar, café, and albergue has WiFi (or "we-fee" as they say in Europe). You simply get used to stopping at a bar, ordering a beer, taking off your boots, examining your feet, changing socks, up-loading photos, and ordering a second beer before putting on your boots and pack and walking to the next . . . bar.

Yes you can add additional data, just go to the phone store add more € to your phone and they can help you get more data for the next month.
http://www.tuenti.com/movil is the prepaid arm of Movistar and has good coverage and low prices.

Which offer are you thinking about? The prepaid 1GB is about €15 not 11. If you exceed 1GB they don't turn off the data they slow you down.

Most of what you're doing is low data use.

Yes I was looking at the wrong page - not prepay! Looks like the tuenti option would be the best for me. Half the cost!

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
