Hotel recommendations

Hola,
My wife and I will be arriving to SJdP 09/21 and we're looking for any hotel recommendations - I'm a retired teacher so The Hilton lol is probably out of our price range.
As well as we proceed on our pilgrimage would appreciate any other hotel ideas along the way.

A good way to select, since we don't know which towns you will be stopping in, is using one of the guide books and they identify all the hotels in each town. I stayed in hotels quite frequently for roughly $30-$40 a night and the rooms at that price were very accommodating and in many cases included a meal
