Via Frances (2012) Vie Del Norte (2015) Via Frances (2016) Le Puy (2017)
I have about a month to walk - but I could extend that if I want. It took me 5 weeks to walk the Frances, but I like to take my time and spend an extra night or two in certain places. So, if I decide to walk the VDP, how long does the average peregrino need to do the whole thing at a leisurely pace?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
At a not so leisurely pace, ie no planned rest days, I counted 37 stages: 24 from Sevilla to Zamora and 13 taking the camino canabres. The first 24 'etapas' could be reduced to 20 if one is prepared (and fit enough at the time) to walk for longer distances...
(i haven't walked it yet so not speaking from experience, just planning. I did the Francés in 31 days)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

6 weeks. I went via Astorga, but met people walking via Ourense in Santiago.

John Brieleys guides suggests 35 days - we are planning 30 days, but we may skip the Meseta i.e. the boring bits - the train takes 2 hours and takes 6 days out of the walk. Good luck with it. Karen Osman

I'm going to try to do the French Way in May/June then the VDP (starting in Grenada) from mid-August to mid October. For the VDP from Grenada i'm leaving 59 days as there's a few towns I want to stay in for at least 3 days and since it will be hot at the beginning I plan to slow my pace a bit.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Took me 43 days from Seville to Santiago via Astorga and that includes 3 rest days.

Hi, it's not on Gronze, but it is on the Salamanca Tourist Office website. Tried ringing the number given, but no answer. Sent a message to the tourist office, but no reply...is the albuerge...
Does Salamanca to Cuba del Vino (stage 20) involve 20km on tarmac, on the N-630? Or does the Camino run as a separate track, alongside (not on!) the asphalted road, and this more comfortable for...
