how to get out of Leon? my Camino starts tomorrow!

Time of past OR future Camino
June/July 2015 (CF, 100 miles), June/July 2018 (CP, ~40 miles, too hot!)
I´m finally here! I start tomorrow morning. I´m at the Hotel Riosol in Av. de Palencia, 3, which is right by the river. I´m wondering if I just go away from the city and up the road. I haven´t yet seen any shells in the road, but I´ve noticed a few arrows here and there. The way really doesn´t seem to be well marked here. Any and all help would be most appreciated.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Walk up the street parallel to the river, and at the bridge coming from the Parador Hotel, you should be able to pick up the yellow arrows (left turn at that bridge toward La Virgen del Camino and the airport).

Hi, I was there about 6 weeks ago and there are lots of arrows in Leon. I don't think it will be a problem to get out of Leon. I know you have to walk along the cathedral and follow the arrows, no problem.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Ask your hospitalero to point you in the right direction, or just follow the other peregrinos. As I recall, there were lots of arrows in León. You'll be fine. Have fun! :)
Buen Camino.

We started in Leon and stayed at the Parador - which as others have said, you will walk right past. We came out of the hotel in the morning and joined the loose flow of pilgrims leaving the city.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Just head north, parallel to the river. You will hit the Camino. then turn left, or west.
cheers

☺️Take the bus by Banco Santander in the large round about to Virgen del Camino

I loved the walk out. There are plenty of coffee opportunities, and La Virgen del Camino has a great modern church, and it used to have a gypsy compound behind the monastery.

Be sure to read what others and I have written re Leon and leaving Leon in this earlier Forum thread.

Buen camino!
She left six minutes after posting the request, and has not been back, so, yes, reading the requested advice will help her find her way out of Leon. She may have internet again when she gets there.:)
