In Search of Book about the Camino de Santiago

My father read a book about the Camino written by a Catholic Priest from a small town in Europe. The book was fairly detailed in capturing life of pilgrim. We have perused all pics of books on Amazon in hopes of he'd remember the book on sight, no luck.

I realize this is very little to go on, however, hopeful these minor details may trigger a fond memory of the story and you can share the title.

Unfortunately, no. I'm working on him (91 yo) to tease out more specifics. He loaned the book to a priest friend, and we've not been able to learn where he's currently serving so Dad contact him about the book.
