Hi, this is Lynn in Nova Scotia Canada. This is a great site for info. :D It's my first message-- have been a silent reader until now. However, after thinking, reading, and planning I hope to walk the Camino next July.

Hello from New Brunswick

Hi Lynn,

I'm a neighbour from New Brunswick and I'm planning to do the Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela leaving in May 2006. I'm debating right now whether to simply do the Camino Frances or to be really bold and start in Le Puy in France. So right now, I'm simply scouring the internet to help me decide.

Anyway, it's fun to see other people from the Maritimes planning to do the pilgrimage. The only bummer for me will be training ('cause I'm not a walker) during the winter months and the wet snow and slush of March and April. I guess it'll help me prepare mentally for the Camino.

I'm still reading & dreaming about doing the Camino in July. Hoping to start in Roncesvalles. After reading the replies re 'ladies of a certain age' and realizing I'm hitting a milestone year , I found a major concern answered. Namely about travelling alone safely. However, any other Canadian women thinking about hitting the Trail in July? :?
