Hi all, I have recently completed my Camino France, starting in SJPdP on the 25/4 and arriving in Santiago on the 17/5. I had an amazing time and walked between 30-40km each day. The only accommodation I booked was the night at Roncesvalles as I started from St Jean and wasn't sure how long it was going to take... for the rest of my walk, I would start each morning around 7.30am and when I get to a village around 4.30pm, I will then find an albergue.. apart from one day I couldn't find any and having to walk on to the next village about 7KM away, the rest of the time I didn't have any problem finding accommodation.
Prior to my departure, I posted several queries and concerns and the members have been tremendously helpful.. the reassurances I received from some of you ( you know who you are! ) have been incredible and I thank you all sincerely.
For those traveling or planning to do the pilgrimage, you will be amazed at how little clothing and belongings you need to carry with you and how easily you will adapt to the environment of just being there, with little luxuries but plenty of high spirit...and a very simple lifestyle!
Once again thank you Forum!!
