On the section from Schwabach to Abenberg today, passed a brand new Jakobuskapelle (St James chapel) built by the pilgrim association in nearby Kammerstein. Photos on my blog - truly an amazing place.
 
Arrived in Einsiedeln! The scenery in Switzerland is just gorgeous. Many walkers on the route since leaving Konstanz. There are quite a few pilgrim refuges, in addition to the usual Gasthofs. A route well worth consideration. Details on the blog, as usual.

My wife walked the Swiss section a couple of years ago. Wonderful views and some great stories to go along with the photos she took.
