Walked July/August 2014. Wife took a fleece (and stocking hat). I took just a rain jacket that doubled as a light warmth layer (and stocking hat). We were both happy with our choices.

You should be fine but where are you coming from? I don't know your comfort level. I will be starting severe weather reports next week after I return to Biarritz for the summer.

I'm traveling from the east coast/us...June here is the begining of the warm weather with not too much rain. Very pleasant. Average temps probably around 80'F

June is perfect. Not too hot, not too cold and not (too) much rain.
The graphic on the left shows the average rain (per month) in Burgos and Santiago. (juni - june)
The graphic on the right shows day and night temperatures for those cities.
