Hi folks, just back from Spain. Had a great time on the Via de la Plata. Weather was ideal and the scenery was beautiful.

Used this very helpful guide whilst walking the Via de La Plata. Worth picking up if you plan to walk the route...http://amzn.to/d0N0Mv

If anyone is thinking of the Via de la Plata I would say go for it. Much quieter and more enjoyable than the Camino Frances ( in my humble opinion :) )

Buen Camino!!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hello Robert!
Good to hear you had a great time om the Via de la Plata. From your pictures I see you had a beautiful weather too. I am starting beginning of May 2011. What worries me most are the arroyoes you have to pass. Have read several places about people having to wade through a lot of water. How was this this spring? Went from Le Puy last autumn and have walked the camino Frances a couple of times but never had to cross rivers.
I am looking forward to a quiet camino. When I came to Roncesvalles in September it was nearly overwelming with the lots of people after walking almost alone for 750km along the Le Puy route.
