I met Hugo, one of the Portuguese/Brazilian owners, who showed me around the downstairs. It's a big rambling old house right on the main street, newly painted and done-up to bring in plenty of sunshine. The bar area is really clean and bright, with cool hydraulic tiles and glass block.... this place is going to give the tired old Palomar a run for its money!
