Hi everyone! I will fly into Lisbon and return there at the end of my Camino for another month. I looked at Airbnb prices for May-June and they are over $3k for an apartment equipped with what I'll need for the month (wifi to work, etc.). I'll need to leave many of my things behind in Lisbon that I don't want to carry with me (laptop, clothing outside of Camino clothing, etc.) Does anyone have a recommendation for where I can leave things in Lisbon that is trustworthy? I prefer not to have to pay for an Airbnb for the 2 weeks I am walking since I won't be staying there, so I am trying to come up with another option. Thanks, everyone!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Hi Kristen, there are many left luggage options in Lisbon so you certainly don’t need to book accommodation just to leave your luggage.

Here is a site with locker locations in Lisbon.

Or there are several sites these days who partner with local businesses/hotels for luggage storage: e.g. Luggage Hero, Use Bounce etc.

I would offer to store your luggage at my place but we aren’t likely to be in town on both your departure and return dates and the apartment will be rented in the meantime.

For your post-camino accommodation, I’ll send you a PM.

My daughter and I are planning on doing the Camino Portugues starting by end of March or beginning of April and will carry a small suitcase that we hope can send ahead to Santiago. Does Portugal Post Office have something similar to the Spain post office where Pilgrims can mail small packages o a small suitcase ahead? I appreciate your advice. Regarding accommodation in Lisboa 3K for an apartment sounds too expensive. Portugal is supposed to be a lot cheaper that Spain, and I can rent an apartment for a month in Spain for about 600 euros.

I can’t give a personal recommendation for Lisbon; but you might look here:

Alternately, if you’re using an AirB&B on arrival in Lisbon and again (especially if for an entire month) on your return; I’d be tempted to ask your host if they can help you out.

It depends on where you are starting your Camino.

Tuitrans will deliver directly from Porto to Santiago.

Or I used a company called Luggage Driver to send a suitcase from Lisbon to Santiago, and you can also send directly from Porto to Santiago.

You can also send via the Portuguese post office to hotel or to Casa Ivar.

We walked from Lisboa in 2019 and posted a bag forward a few days at a time. So, Lisboa to Tomar, Tomar to Coimbra, and finally Coimbra to Porto. We found that the post office would hold the bag for two business days. It worked for us. Bon Caminoh!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thank you so very much. I will try that. Probably the best option for us will be to send it to Casa Ivar.

Thank you. We will check on that. We are planning on starting in Lisbon
