I hope that you are enjoying Castrojeriz. I have fond memories of it as I ended up hurt there last Fall and I found some friendly and helpful people there including the hospitalero at La Cosa Nostra, a private albergue, and the people at a hotel a few doors down , Hotel La Cachava, who made a fine pilgrim's menu and varied it for someone who was around for a couple of evenings resting.

I like that blog & can also give a thumbs up to Casa Nostra. I was right behind the last person he took & he was about to say he was "complete," but offered to let me stay in one of the rooms he hadn't worked on yet. There was a bed (a real bed!!!) in there, plus a couple of mattresses on the floor. I thought it was great. :) It's been 2 years, so I'm sure he's worked on that room by now. :) And the bar down the street from him serves up a great meal.
