Just an reminder/FYI - COVID is out there. I came up COVID + one day out of Burgos. I was fortunate to be able to double back to Burgos and get a hotel room to hunker down in for 5 days which is what I understand to be the correct COVID precautions. I will rejoin the camino just outside of Leon.

My best guess is I picked it up in San Juan de Ortega. It was raining and all inside places (bars and the church) were packed with pilgrims as well as a large group of what appeared to be kids on a school field trip. Up until then I had spent limited time inside with most if not all meals outside.

I am fortunate that I am able to build this bump into my camino but others may not be able to do so. Please be caution out there especially in crowded indoor spaces.

My daughter recommended bringing a couple of Covid test kits with me. I’m really glad I had them. Others traveling at my pace were worried about covid but were struggling to find local tests

I’m feeling better but not 100% and will still be hanging here for a few more days regardless

Buen camino

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Tests are available inexpensively in pharmacias in Spain, but you have to be in a big enough town to have a pharmacia. We also bring tests from home. We did get Covid on our Camino 2 years ago. It is also circulating here in our home in the state of Wyoming. So sorry you were sick...hope you are better now with no lingering symptoms.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

New user here. Hello to you all. New to the forum but not to the Camino. I was told about this Forum whilst I walking the lovely scenic 'Camino Norte'. I'm planning walking another in June.
Hi, A couple years ago I flew into Geneva and took a train to Laussane to begin my Francigena. Next year I would like to fly into Geneva and walk the south side - France into Aigle, Switzerland...
