Hi everyone,

There's a lot of topics about sore and tired feet from the walk and how to treat blisters but what about muscle soreness!? In West Australia we have a plethora of massage places to get those knots rubbed out of your shoulders, but what is the situation like in Spain?

Any good ones people would recommend?

Cheers
Frances

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
FrancesK .. If there isn't there will be now , talk about a wonderful idea! , yours is perfect .

Hi.

I've seen a handful of signs advertising massages on the Via de la Plata, and I imagine they'd be available in all of the larger cities. I carried "The Stick" and used that a lot, although it's mostly for the legs. A tennis ball in a sock works great on your back. The top of your shoulders needs a massage therapist!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

You may find that in most albergues there is information available concerning professional massage/muscle therapy nearby. In some, massage service is on-location by a hospitalero or resident professional.
