As Easter is earlier this year I'm wondering if I need to worry about albergues being open in late March. I plan on walking from Burgos to Astorga. Expecting all sorts of weather but do I need to consider the fact that some albergues don't open until April?

I'm also wondering if the credential I used last November is still okay to use as I stopped , due to work constraints, in Belerado last time.

I'm walking Burgos to Astorga a week and a half later than you. I'd read (generically) that most albergues that close for the winter, open after Easter. In looking at albergues along the route, it appears that most re-open by April 1 (which is why I waited a week)

I've been out there twice in March and had no trouble finding a bed late in the month. Before the 15th it was more of an issue. And as you say--Semana Santa is early, so places will be opening. I could be wrong, but I'll be walking then too and I'm not at all concerned.
And your credencial should be good to go--many people do this. I met an elderly German couple who'd walked from their home in many stages over many years, and were finally finishing the journey--each had a handful of filled credencials gathered over the years.
Buen Camino Deepforest, maybe see you there!
