We are off on May 26th for the 2nd leg of our Camino journey, and getting very excited. Two years ago we did St. Jean Pied de Port to Pamplona as a 'taster'. This year we will go from Pamplona to Burgos (hopefully). I have two questions:
- When we eventually arrive in Santiago de Compostella at some point in the future, will we be able to get our compostella, and also distance certificate for walking the whole Camino Frances? Do they recognise multi-year pilgrimages as valid?
- We have a Credencial from the Irish Society of St. James. I have been tracking the discussion about only 'official' and recognised credencials being accepted, and I understand that this one is. However are there any thoughts on whether we should switch to the official one, just to be safe? It will be several years before we get to SdC.
