Welcome, you will have a great time at the albergue Orisson. Having the evening meal together and after everyone will introduce themselves.
A part of them will be your Camino family.
Wish you a wonderful journey, Peter.

Buen Camino!
We walked our entire Camino with people who we met that first night at Orisson... sometimes together, often days apart but always managing to run unto each other somewhere along the Way.

Change of plans. I'm walking the del Norte route instead, starting in San Sebastian. Anyone else coming?

Good luck to you! My husband and I are in the planning stages for June 2017. We are also from WA state. :) If you get a chance to post on how your pilgrimage goes, please do. I would be interested in hearing about it.
Which route did you decide to take to get to SJPDP? Paris, Madrid, etc?
Buen Camino!

Barb

Hope you have a great time! I'm from Seattle too - I think a number of us Seattlites are interested in the Caminos. In fact, my husband and I got engaged on a pilgrimage in France. :) Just curious, why did you decide to change routes? We've been hearing about the crowds and we start in June with two teens. :p

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I am walking with a couple of broken ribs that are healing. I haven't been able to train for the last month. I can't carry my pack for probably another month. Del Norte won't be as crowded as what is happening on Camino Frances, so even if I am slow, I have a better chance of getting a bed somewhere. I originally wanted to do the del norte and changed my mind to walk the more traditional route. Hope we meet up on the way to Santiago!
