The Xunta has decided to rehab another old school building for a municipal albergue, supposedly ready to go in early 2013. I've stayed in many old school buildings along different caminos, and it is always somewhat bittersweet to stay in a building that's no longer needed as a school because there are no kids.

This article also describes how the old parador building is going to be rehabbed as well. I believe it's the building that has been run as the Pousada de Portomarin, so it looks like both ends of the pilgrim financial spectrum will be taken care of!
