New report on bus safety

Correo Gallego reports on this with an item headed 'Spanish bus most dangerous in Europe' http://www.elcorreogallego.es/index.php ... 31&Itemid=
more fatalities in Spain over 1994-2004 period than in any other country. However, read a bit further and you find that buses are used for 13.4% of road journeys in Spain, which is considerably more than many other countries and may well explain the statistic. And the report continues with a subheading that it's the safest form of road transport: you are still 30 times more likely to have an accident in a car than in a bus. So perhaps things are not as grim as the headline makes it sound.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
